The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently going to the Fernie two Community Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers on the community.

SASSA is going to be rendering services for instance new social grant applications, change of payment method, client care enquiries, and also the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.

In a statement, the agency reported it is alarmed in regards to the significant range of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim with the Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out to the superior range of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.

“This is often as a result of lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there is no fully functional office devoted to service the area regularly. The service stage created for intervention experiences a high inflow of opportunity beneficiaries, that makes it complicated with the Workplace to attend to all people who take a look at a service point.

“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise extra means to help the servicing of all shoppers and raise use of Social Assistance providers,” the agency said.
